My name is Jay Morrison. I started working with my Dad in the roofing industry over 25 years ago. In 2000, I started JMorrison Roofing. I love what I do! I’m proud of the business I’ve built.

After receiving five roofing quotes, J. Morrison Roofing began the install of a new Cambridge-shingle roof on my 1900 old house. It took them 5 days to:

Custom cut first-time plywood sheets on my multi-peeked roof,
Install drip edge, ice and water shield, multiple valley flashings, plumbing/brick-wall/chimney flashings, and additional metal roof and intake vents
Repair a problematic eavestrough on the North face, including installation of a de-icing cable.

The five men worked together diligently, assessing the best approach with each step in the process. They were very respectful and did not take their next steps for granted. I appreciated that they kept me informed along the way, consulted myself, each other and Jason Morrison when anything unexpected came up. They responded immediately to any questions or concerns I had and they took care in their clean up. On behalf of my wife Anne and myself, I am taking the opportunity of providing you with this unsolicited letter of endorsement and reference.

Last fall, we invited a number of roofing companies to provide us with a quote on re-shingling our roof. We only stipulated that the quote was comprehensive and that the replacement of our 17-year-old roof was high quality and long term.

Your quote was competitive. We chose Morrison not only because you personally handled the inspection and presentation of the quote but you were the only company who inspected the state of the roof from inside the attic. You identified some areas not evident from the outside which would require attention. In other words, your quote included what would have become “extras” had another contractor been hired.

You also advised us that there were areas of the attic which did not have sufficient insulation and none over the garage. Based on a separate quote, your team added the additional insulation within a week of the inspection. There was a noticeable difference this past winter in the comfort of certain areas of our home.

Your team completed the two-day roofing job at 4 PM on April 21. The workers were professional and courteous arriving on time and working throughout the entire two days. They cleaned up thoroughly each evening.

The final price was as quoted. When presenting us with the final bill, you asked us if there were any recommendations or concerns which would have improved the overall job performance in any way. Upon reflection, we have none.
